Student Troupe- meets this Wednesday July 2, 6-7pm at the Art Institute. Anyone who has completed (or is very close to completing) a 6-8 week class or 4 hour workshop is welcome to join the troupe. Meetings are every other Wednesday in Salisbury at the Art Institute on Main Street. Great way for students to network, practice new skills, learn more moves, practice cues, lead, and formations, use zills, and more.

*NEW* Performance Troupe Now meets Every Wednesday!
Join student troupe every other Wednesday to help teach and lead in group improvisation and loose choreography. Every other Wednesday meet at OC Kabob Grill for live performance opportunities. Please talk to me if you are interested in joining a.s.a.p. Wednesday performance troupe starts next week July 9.
Regular meeting is this week- same time/place.

Wanna join the troupe but need a little more coaching? Come to Sumatis Om Yoga Studio Saturday, July 5 Noon-4pm for a 4 hour workshop. We will cover the base 8 moves including 4 slow and 4 fast from the American Tribal Style vocabulary. Each move has specific cues and transitions. Practice lead changes, variations, level changes, and zills. This class is for people with a dance background or for those who have already taken a 6 or 8 week course with me. Call 410-641-4499 to register. Class is $40 per person, minimum 3 people needed.

Please respond to this message if you are interested in the Saturday workshop at Sumatis or if you are interested in joining the student (every other Wednesday-Salisbury) or performance (Every Wednesday-Salisbury & Ocean City) troupe.

Hipnotique: June 21 (Cape May, NJ)

Tempest of Cape May, NJ writes:

"We'll be doing another Jersey Shore Intensive, featuring two awesome
workshops - "Strange Presence" and "Nouveau Noir".
Although, geared towards Gothic Bellydance enthusiasts, there's a lot of
material in both that any style dancer can use and appreciate, especially with
"Strange Presence" which focuses on stage persona, projecting and
making contact with your audience, and improv tips. "Nouveau Noir"
presents moves and combinations that are inspired from the
1900's-1930's which are fun, sassy, and darkly delightful!
Classes are limited to 16 students. Save on registration for either or both classes by signing up by June 13th. http://www.darklydramatic.com/tempest/nj.html Then we celebrate with Hipnotique - An Evening of Bellydance at Cabanas on the Beach in Cape May - performance slots are available, details in the link above!"

|Roma and Leah will perform at Hipnotique. We also plan to take both workshops with Tempest on the 21st. Register early and carpool with us if your interested in gothic/tribal|
